SkillBridge is a Department of Defense program for service members in their last 180 days of service. It does not include spouses, and that is set by DoD policy rather than by us, so there is no spouse account here and there is no version of this site where there is one. What follows is where to actually go.
Four worth knowing about. Eligibility rules move, and one of these changed its name in June 2026, so treat what is below as a starting point and check the program’s own page for what is true today.
Career-ready spouses of Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force and Space Force members, including active duty, Guard and Reserve. In the US and overseas.
The closest thing to a spouse equivalent of SkillBridge, and the reason it leads this list. A 12-week fellowship with a civilian employer, and unlike SkillBridge it is paid. Run by Hiring Our Heroes with the Department of Defense. Applications are taken on a rolling basis.
Spouses of active duty, National Guard and Reserve members on qualifying Title 10 orders, across all ranks and pay grades.
Up to $4,000 toward a license, a certification, an associate degree, or the continuing education needed to keep a license current.
If you looked at this years ago and were told you did not qualify, look again. It used to stop at the junior pay grades and no longer does.
Any military spouse.
A job board of more than 700 employers who have committed to recruiting, hiring and keeping military spouses, including a lot of remote work. The commitment is the useful part: these are employers who already understand a PCS.

Also the thing most people do not know exists: if a PCS across state lines forces you to relicense or recertify in the same profession, your service branch can reimburse up to $1,000 of the cost. How license transfers work.

Your Social Security number, EDIPI, or DoD ID number. We do not collect them, and we do not connect to milConnect or any Department of Defense identity system. If anyone claiming to be us asks for those, it is not us. What we do collect is in the privacy policy.
