Terms of service
Last updated August 25, 2026
These terms cover your use of SkillBridge Central as a service member. Employers agree to a separate set of terms.
What this service is
SkillBridge Central is a job board listing opportunities at employers that hold a SkillBridge agreement with the Department of Defense. We are a private company. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the U.S. Department of Defense or any branch of the U.S. military, and nothing here is official DoD guidance.
It is free for you, permanently
Service members never pay us. There is no premium tier, no paid boost for your application, and nothing we will later charge you for. Employers pay for the service; you are not the product being sold to them, and we do not sell your information.
Who can use it
You may create a service member account if you are serving in the U.S. armed forces. The SkillBridge program itself has its own eligibility rules: broadly, at least 180 continuous days of active duty and being within 180 days of separation. Those are set by the Department of Defense, not by us.
We verify that you are a service member. We do not verify anything else. In particular we do not confirm that your command has approved your participation. That authorization comes from the first field-grade commander in your chain, must be in writing, and must exist before you start a program. Getting it is between you and your unit. Nothing on this site substitutes for it.
One account, one identity
A single person cannot hold both a service member account and an employer account. This is not an arbitrary rule: reviews and forum posts are only trustworthy if the person writing them is not also the person being written about. If your situation changes, say you join the recruiting team of a SkillBridge employer during your own transition, close one account before opening the other.
What you tell us must be true
Your branch, rank or rate, unit, and dates are how employers decide whether to talk to you, and how we decide whether to verify you. Misrepresenting your service is grounds for removing your account. Claiming service you did not perform is also, separately, a serious thing to do to the people who did.
Things you may not do here
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
- Post classified, controlled, or operationally sensitive information. Think before you name a unit, a location, a deployment window, or a capability. OPSEC does not stop applying because the site is for service members
- Post someone else's personal information
- Run scams, recruit for schemes, or advertise services to other users
- Scrape the site, or use it to build a competing database
- Try to reach accounts or data that are not yours
What you post
What you write stays yours. You give us permission to display it on the service so it can do its job: a review nobody can read is not a review. You can delete what you have written. We can remove content that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why.
What we do not promise
We do not guarantee that you will find a placement, that a listing is still open, or that an employer will respond. We check that an employer holds a SkillBridge agreement with the Department of Defense. We do not vouch for what any employer is like to work for, and we do not control their hiring decisions.
We try to keep listings accurate and current. Employers write their own postings and can be wrong or out of date.
Ending it
You can delete your account at any time; see the privacy policy for what happens to your data. We can suspend an account that breaks these terms, and except where doing so would let ongoing harm continue, we will tell you what rule was broken and give you a way to respond.
Legal bits
The service is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which SkillBridge Central LLC is organized. If we change them in a way that materially affects you, we will tell registered users by email before the change takes effect.
